Trewartha Tor

Trewarth Tor is a fantastic little bouldering venue on Bodmin Moor. It consists of large granite boulders and small craglets. There are numerous boulder problems from low grade to silly silly grades! There are two or three short trade routes including the classic ‘Just Friends’ a great little VS.

To find Trewartha Tor travel along the B3254 from Likeard towards Launceston. Upon entering Middlewood look for the left hand turning onto an unclassified road (this is immediately before the bridge over the river Lhyner). Follwo this for about 5-10 minutes until yo reach a gate. Parking is located beside the gate in a layby/ turning area. Please park sensibly and allow for other road users and keep all gates clear, they are in constant use.

To find the crag go through teh gate and follow the track for around 5 minutes. The crag is located on the right hand side and is the obvious ridge on the sky line. The walk across is fairly firm and can be rossed if care is taken with a push chair.

Below are a few pictures from the Tor..
