Phill and myself had a typical ‘james and Phill’ day out. We started from the Lizard village a walked down to Holseer Cove and coasteered around to the Lizard point. The day was fine and sunny and perfect conditions for a bimble along the rocks. The route taken although not technically difficult did require ascent and descent of a number of rock bluffs and some difficult traverses all with large climbing bags and the real possibility of a wet landing!
We finally came to the Hollywood walls and climbed a couple of routes Focus puller (VD) and best boy (D), both average to poor routes! feeling uninspired by the climbing we sat down and drank tea! after a short rest our attentions turned to the short wall above the ledge upon which we were sat. The three routes are described in the climbing venue pages.
